This bike has been an amazing find, a 50 year old BSA, 1967 model A65 Lightning with only 3995 miles
Matching numbers and appears to be totally untouched, I removed the rubber plug on the tank to reveal the hold down bolt and it has never been touched.
Due to asbestos regulations we have fitted new front and rear brake shoes apart from that the bike started and ran and idled nicely
we will fit a new battery prior to sale
Matching engine and frame numbers A65LA2726
The paint is original with all the original stickers and transfers still in place
The chrome on the guards is OK, looks great from a distance but has very fine pitting, the front rim is good the rear has some isolated areas of surface rust, The chrome panels on the tank are also OK, not rusty, but the chrome has spiderweb light lines on it, again you need to look closely.
The speedo glass is cracked, possibly done in transport from the USA, it has all import approvals and documents
The tank is clean inside, has good oil pressure,
This bike is a rare find in this condition, looking at all the components I am confident that the mileage is correct
Tyres are old and would need replacing, To ensure the integrity and condition of this bike it should be kept in a collection and have nil or very minimal use, the value is in the low miles
